Dead Man's Mirror is a short story by Agatha Christie that was expanded into a novel. The story is about an eccentric man who outbids Hercule Poirot at an auction for an antique mirror. The man, Sir Gervase Chevenix-Gore, summons Poirot to his home to investigate his business associate, property developer John Lake. When Poirot arrives, he finds that no one is expecting him, but he is just in time to discover the man's body.
Poirot interrogates a number of suspects at the scene of the crime, including Chevenix-Gore's wife, Vanda, his adopted daughter Ruth, her cousin Hugo, and his secretary, Miss Lingard.
