Kein Thema war vor der Satire von Trey Parker und Matt Stone sicher, vor allem die verschiedensten Religionen und ethnischen Gruppen waren eine beliebte Zielscheibe. Ein oft zitierter Satz aus der Serie war "Oh, mein Gott, sie haben Kenny getötet!", weil am Ende jeder Folge eben jener Kenny auf skurril-brutale Weise ums Leben kam - und in der nächsten Folge doch wieder munter dabei war.
