Deadly hatred threatened Illya and Napoleon from all sides...

It seemed incredible that an intelligent man like Dr. Richard Armden could turn violently against U.N.C.L.E for no apparent reason. Dr. Armden was a valued scientific adviser for U.N.C.L.E., but now he refused to have anything to do with the organization. "Thieving, communistic, war-mongering murderers!" he called Illya and Napoleon.

Baffled, the two agents tried to question Dr. Armden's colleagues in this small university town...and met with the same implacable hatred and threats from all of them. It couldn't be coincidence - THRUSH must have discovered a new method of winning over the minds of scientists to their cause. But how did they do it? And how could U.N.C.L.E. fight it?
