Thanksgiving Day is approaching and Judge Deborah Knott is looking forward to some well-deserved relaxation with her lover and her family in North Carolina. But two violent murders shatter the peace of the holiday season, and since one of the victims is connected to Deborah's father's bootlegging past, Dad becomes suspect number one.
