Taken at the Flood is a 1948 detective novel by Agatha Christie. The story is set in post-World War II England.
The novel follows the Cloade family, who depend on the good will of their cousin-in-law, Rosaleen Hunter Cloade, after her husband and their cousin is killed in an air raid during World War II.
Rosaleen inherits her husband's entire fortune, infuriating his relatives, all of whom desperately need the money. Tensions are high, threats are made, and murder ensues.
